    Depleted marine resources: an approach to quantification based on the FAO capture database

    This report uses data (covering the years 1950-2002) drawn from the FAO capture fishery production database to measure the extent and rate of decline of catches to identify a list of species who are classified as 'depleted' and are candidates for stock restoration measures.     Designing contracts for reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation

    This report provides an introduction to the effect that deforestation and forest degradation has on the environment and climate change. Reducing these damaging activities has been highlighted as an achievable objective for improving the environment. This report proposes a mechanism for reducing emissions from deforestation and degradation (REDD), which it argues is a cost effective climate change mitigation mechanism.
