    Agenda for water sector strategy for North China: summary report

    Description
    This report evaluates the acute water shortages and pollution problems in North China, specifically in the Yellow (Huang), Hai and Huai (3-H) river basins, and recommends a number of improvements to China's water management practices to better support agriculture, the urban and industrial water supply and ecological resources in this area. It examines changes in the economy and society affecting the water sector, the current water resource situation in the 3-H basins and feasible options for balancing water supply and demand. It includes action plans for each of the key areas including flood control, agriculture, pollution control, wastewater reuse and groundwater management.     Assessment of crop water productivity in the Indus and Ganges River Basins: current status and scope for improvement
