   Workshop on assessment and management of the offshore resources of South and Southeast Asia

   Description

   This document provides a summary of the proceedings of a workshop on the current status of offshore resources in South and Southeast Asia and the potential for developing new fishing activities. The workshop was held in Bangkok, Thailand, 17-19 June 2008. The document includes country statements from Brunei Darussalam, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam together with a discussion of the opportunities, challenges and potential benefits. This document, RAP Publication 2009/13, was published by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in 2009.
