    Urban and rural waste in China: LearningSpace: Open University

    Description
    This introductory module discusses changes in waste management and disposal in China as the country has gone through a period of economic development. It includes a case study of waste dumped near Lugu Lake, Yunnan province. Street recycling in China is discussed. Statistics are provided on waste treatment in over 30 countries. The module is expected to take eight hours to complete and is provided by the UK Open University as part of its LearningSpace, a collection of over 800 free online courses (as at July 2016).
