    Improving indoor air quality for poor families: a controlled experiment in Bangladesh

    Description
    Factors affecting indoor air pollution in Bangladesh were determined and analysed to determine whether changes in these factors significantly affected air pollution. The factors studied were construction materials, space configurations, cooking locations, and household ventilation practices (use of doors and windows). This 2007 study is part of an investigation into health risks in the environment undertaken by The World Bank Sustainable Rural and Urban Development Team, Development Research Group, and forms Policy Research Working Paper 4422.
